A Bit About Me

Having recently returned from working a ski season in Canada, I am looking to work in a creative environment and develop my skills further in a professional setting. Studying Creative and Professional Writing at the University of Plymouth, I specialised in journalism. Completing a ten thousand word dissertation on women in motorsport, I interviewed multiple drivers, engineers and trailblazers within the industry.

Focussing on under-represented groups, I often wrote about women and LGBT+ individuals within the sports industry. Alongside these focusses, I challenged myself to write about numerous other topics, covering environment, crime and changing times within the media. While writing ‘creative’ pieces, each was partnered with a critical commentary analysing social and academic influences.

Key attributes:

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills developed during my time at university while balancing my course and extra-curricular activities.

  • Creative mindset, open to learning new styles and techniques.

  • Hard working researcher who can display results clearly.

  • Experience with audio software and voice recording.

  • Social media savvy and a quick learner when tasked with using new software.

  • Strong written English language skills.

  • Friendly and optimistic team player.
